Terms of Service

Here are a few rules to keep in mind before commissioning me! Nothing too extreme, just something to protect both you and me while working together. Please read them carefully before confirming you want to commission me.

General Rules

-Payment comes before I start your commission. This is not optional and i won't start your commission without payment.
-Do not claim my art as yours. I ask that you credit me on Toy.house or link my Th profile if using my art outside of the platform.
-You may request progress updates at any point, but i generally like showing my progression at each step (sketch, lining, color, etc)
-Do not ask for free art or discounts.
-I currently only accept payment through PayPal.
-Chargebacks or fraud claims will automatically result in the character or commission being revoked and repurposed. Any known socials and aliases will be under blacklist and banned from purchasing from me again.
-I have the right to cancel and refund any commission. I will usually have a good reason for this, but I am not required to give reasoning.
-Commisions will generally be worked on from oldest to newest.
-If reselling a character with my art on it, value my art correctly and at the value it was when bought, my prices may change over time so please be accurate to the price and time in which you bought the art.

Commission Rules

-Please expect the process to take anywhere from a week up to 3 months. I work and study full time and art takes time.
-You will have an opportunity to ask for changes and adjustments when the sketch is sent, this is your only opportunity so please do it here.
-I will make adjustments to your commission as needed during the process, but if I've started do not ask for character changes!
-After the commission is completed I can make a few small edits, but any big edits requested after will be extra pay.
-I will only take characters with clear references or pets with decent photos
-I hold rights to the art and may use it to promote myself. However i am willing to discuss putting a watermark over the work if you the client would like it.
-The commissioner may use the art for non-commercial use, make print outs and use it for personal reasons so long as you credit me.
-I will sell commercial rights for an additional price. Using my art commercially without permission will result in an instant blacklist and reports.
-You may not ask for a refund unless it has been over a month with no updates! Special circumstances will grant exceptions.

Customs and Design Rules

-Do not add a tos of your own on top of my tos. Wanting first dibs is allowed, but do not put rules of your own upon my designs.
-My designs should always be credited back to me @-Illuminaughty- on Toy.house.
-My base is not up for commercial use, do not trace or heavily reference it.
-Expect these to finish between two weeks and up to two months. Again, art takes time.
-I may use these adopts or customs to promote myself.
-You may use these for reference and personal reasons so long as you give proper credit.
-You may resell adopts, characters or customs so long as they are not resold for more than you paid unless there is extra art with it!
-Gifted designs without extra art may only be traded or gifted to another user. You may not compensate off of my gift
-You may not ask for a refund unless it has been over a month with no updates.
-Let me know when you resell because I may want to buy back.
